About Me
I live in Dayton, Ohio, with my wife, two daughters, and three crazy golden retrievers. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, and playing video games (I'm a developer, after all). My favorite time of year is fall, and I love looking at Christmas lights with my girls.
My story so far...
I have a bachelor's in Computer Science from Wright State University and have been a developer for fifteen years. When I started at Altamira, in December 2017, I did not know what user experience was. After a few projects that did not go smoothly because of having to rework many features because there was not an initial design for the UI. I discovered Adobe XD, and on my next project, I mocked the whole UI and worked with end users to get the UI right before any development started. The project went so well that I wondered why we weren't doing this for every project. Later, I was interviewed by two UX professionals to get more work. We did not win any additional work, but I came out of the interviews energized to learn more about UX. I started my master's in UXD shortly after and am continuing to learn more about user interactions and design.
